Fort Worth Takes Its Best Shot...
...at convincing us to stay in this great town. It is a great place, and the Main Street Arts Festival only highlights that. We enjoyed all four days of it. It was easily the best Arts Festival in ages--the artists were great, but they also had much better music on the stage areas, better street shows, and several free (as in, not asking for tips) musicians just wandering around. It really made Main Street Fort Worth feel a bit like Main Street, USA.

I took off most of Friday, and on that very sunny afternoon, we stopped to see the YoYo People.

Later, we headed to Mi Cocina, got a table on the street's edge, and sat there for a few hours, soaking up the sounds and culture, and enjoying some of our favoritest mexican food.

Matty joined up with us after a little while, and made it more merrier!

Later, we were super-stoked to discover that, at our continued prompting, Earth Bones had finally gotten out the bubble machine.

He likes bubbles.

Bubby took some pictures, too. And he's getting better at holding the camera still:

Okay, I figured by now you would have like ten comments because I thought this was a great blog! Thanks for the good words about Fort Worth and the Main Street Arts Festival. But you forgot to mention the bestest part: the really really great kettle corn!

you mean the "you want how many tickets for that?" kettle corn.

Oh, yes, you're right - it does cost too much. But it's my favorite kettle corn in the whole world - just the right amount of sweet and salty. I buy a big bag and share it around the office, and then I take it home and watch my favorite movie while I munch on it. So I figure I've gotten my 12 tickets' worth.

It was a nice festival, tho' I didn't get to buy the wrap I wanted after I realized the tag said $125 rather than the $25 I had thought it said. And I passed on that pricey kettle corn, too, since I wouldn't have had anyone to share it with and thus would have eaten the whole bag myself (maybe I could have become a float like that kid on Willy Wonka!). Nice photojournaling to Jj and N. I have a couple shots if you want them.
Ft. Worth is a nice city/town, if it could just get out of tornado alley. Last night was scary!
